In A Solid Foundation (National Journal), the writer explores the troubled landscape home owners and buyers are grappling with, and our attitudes regarding home ownership in this new landscape. About 1/2 of the 1000 survey participants believe the government should get out of the business (and do away with the mortgage interest tax deduction) of promoting home ownership, but we overwhelming believe that owning a home is good for our future, our families, and our communities.
